So where will I build my microlight?

It’s a question I get asked a lot.

Like many auspicious projects, the initial stages of the build will take place in my garage. I’ll be able to assemble the fuselage and the wings there, before moving to a larger and more suitable location in order to join the two together.

Whilst, to some, a garage may not sound like the most ideal location, to me it sounds perfect. The build time of any project – including a Skyranger – very much depends on how much quality time you can spend at work. Such a convenient location, then, should help facilitate this. And so – as I prepare to receive my microlight kit – I am working hard to prepare my new workshop for the challenge.
